Casting starts a picker: hover to highlight, click to pin. That piece then stays on screen while the rest of the page scrolls past. Drag it by the handle, or click × to put it back.
Good to know
Pins stay live, so a video keeps playing and links still work. Cast again to pin another.
Some layouts trap a pinned element. Pin lifts it out when that happens, which can cost it styling it was inheriting from its surroundings.
Sites that redraw themselves as you use them may wipe a pin out. Cast it again to put it back.
Size limit
Pins keep the size they had on the page. This caps the big ones, which then scroll inside.
The space it leaves behind
A pin lifts off the page, so the layout can close up behind it. Hold the space to keep everything where it was.
