Cast it and the page pops into a small window that floats above your other apps.

Needs Chrome or Edge 116+, on an https page.

Good to know

Two ways to pop out, set under Config:

Keep live moves the page itself into the window, so video, calls, and audio keep running. On script-heavy sites, menus and search boxes can stop working, because their code still expects the original tab.

Interactive loads a fresh copy, so everything works as usual. It needs the site to allow embedding, which many but not all do, and it starts from the top instead of where you left off.

Keep live for watching, interactive for using. The setting under Config only picks which one the window opens with; the button along the bottom swaps between them whenever you like.

A few apps resist both modes, refusing to run in a frame and rebuilding themselves when their page is moved.

Browsers only offer picture-in-picture on secure pages, so it goes missing on anything served over plain http, like an older site or a device on your network. Anything on https works, and so does localhost.
